The Health Ministry announced 1,967 new confirmed COVID-19 infections in Poland, increasing the total number of cases recorded in the country to 93,481 including 20,537 still active. The number of active cases increased from 19,306 yesterday.
The ministry also announced 30 new fatalities, of which one was due to COVID-19 alone and 29 out of COVID-19 and concurrent diseases. The death toll in Poland went up to 2,543.
According to the ministry, a total of 133,981 people are quarantined and 16,891 are placed under epidemiological surveillance, whilst 70,401 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far. As it stands, there are still 20,537 active cases of the coronavirus in Poland.
As of Thursday morning, as many as 34,183,014 coronavirus cases, 1,019,133 deaths and 25,445,769 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.
The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 7,447,693. India comes second most with 6,312,584 cases and Brazil third with 4,813,586.
