The Health Ministry announced 4,178 new confirmed COVID-19 infections in Poland, increasing the total number of cases recorded in the country to 125,816 including 42,510 still active. The number of active cases increased from 39,864 yesterday.
The ministry also announced 32 new fatalities, of which three were due to COVID-19 alone and 29 out of COVID-19 and concurrent diseases. The death toll in Poland went up to 3,004.
According to the ministry, a total of 231,032 people are quarantined and 32,394 are placed under epidemiological surveillance, whilst 80,302 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far. As it stands, there are still 23,327 active cases of the coronavirus in Poland.
As of Sunday morning, as many as 37,505,587 coronavirus cases, 1,077,983, deaths and 28,145,941 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.
The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 7,945,505 India has the second most with 7,053,806 cases and Brazil third with 5,091,840.
