Poland’s Robert Kubica (BMW M4 DTM) placed third in Sunday's DTM series race at the Belgian Zolder track.
This was the best result for Kubica who is representing Orlen Team ART this season. Prior to this, he had only managed to gain one point, the result of his finishing in 10th position at the Assen racetrack, in the Netherlands.
Sunday's race was won by Germany's Rene Rast (Audi RS 5 DTM) who was defending the title and his lead in the general classification.
Unlike in the previous races, this time, Kubica had a spot of luck. Out of 16 cars, only 10 managed to finish the competition. Nevertheless, this time, the Pole made only a few complaints about technical faults, which proves that once he has a decent working car, Kubica is able to compete on equal terms with the best.
