COVID-19-Poland's ruling party leader in quarantine

Deputy Prime Minister, PiS chairman Jarosław Kaczyński, has gone into self-quarantine after a recorded contact with a person infected with the coronavirus. PiS Spokesman Radosław Fogiel stated that Mr Kaczyński feels well, he will perform his duties remotely.

"After information about a potential coronavirus contact, while performing official duties, Jarosław Kaczyński, the chairman of PiS decided to self-quarantine until further decisions of the sanitary office" - Fogiel said.

He added that the deputy prime minister, the head of PiS, feels good, and will perform his duties from home.

Fogiel in an interview with the Polish Press Agency announced that Jarosław Kaczyński found out about possible contact with an infected person at the party's headquarters at ul. Nowogrodzka, Warsaw.

"Immediately after receiving the information, the president went home, where he will wait for the guidelines of the sanitary services," the PiS official announced.

Fogiel posted information about the quarantine of the PiS chief on Twitter.
