Those ten goals set a new record, making it the best start to a German league in history. Last season he scored 16 goals in the first 11 matches of the season, which was also record breaking.

Lewandowski once again demonstrated what a complete forward he is at the weekend, completing a perfect hat-trick; the first goal with his left foot, the second with a header and the third with his right foot. These were his 244th, 245th and 246th goals in German Bundesliga. Bayern won the game 5:0, other scorers were Leroy Sane and Jamal Musiala.

After five league games, Lewandowski has scored more goals by himself than clubs like Real Madrid or FC Barcelona.

“Lewy” also became the top Polish scorer in foreign leagues. The captain of the national team overtook Krzysztof Warzycha, who scored 244 goals for Greek team Panathinaikos AO between 1990-2004.
