The congress, which was supposed to choose the leadership of the grouping for a new term, including the party leader and the Political Council, among other key positions, was originally scheduled for November 7.

Mr Sobolewski told PAP the party leader had decided to change the date as the meeting of delegates has to be face-to-face rather than conducted remotely.

“The congress will certainly not be until the beginning of next year,” Mr Sobolewski said. “A decision as to the concrete date will be taken after the coronavirus situation stabilises,” he added.
