Top Polish ensemble marks 70th year on stage

The National Folk Song and Dance Ensemble “Mazowsze” was established 70 years ago and has just celebrated the anniversary of their first performance. However, this year, it took place virtually, due to the COVID-19 restrictions.

Established on November 6, 1948, “Mazowsze” made its debut two years later, in the Polish Theatre in Warsaw.

Ever since, the ensemble remains one of the most recognisable symbols of Polish culture. The group annually gives over 300 concerts worldwide.

The ensemble has always been a place for outstanding artists and extraordinary talents. Mazowsze has been captivating audiences all over the world by showing what, in the opinion of its members, is the best in Poland; the folklore, great costumes and music.
