The Culture Support Fund will allocate its PLN 400 mln (EUR 89 mln) budget to 2,064 artistic institutions and enterprises. The funds will be primarily used to ensure the continuation of artistic activities and securing jobs.
“The establishment and launch of the Culture Support Fund has been keenly awaited by the culture sector. Due to the pandemic, time was not on our side, we were under great pressure. That is why I am all the more glad that the entire process... was carried out at such a pace. We are left with the final and most important step, payment of the benefits” stated Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Culture, National Heritage and Sport, Professor Piotr Gliński.
From local government artistic institutions, non-governmental organisations and entrepreneurs conducting cultural activities in theater, music and dance a total of 2,246 entities applied for financial aid under the Culture Support Fund, established in September.
Aid will be granted to 144 local government artistic institutions, amounting to EUR 21 mln, various NGOs will receive EUR 8 mln, a total of 448 entrepreneurs will get EUR 20 mln, whilst 1,166 companies providing stage engineering services will be entitled to EUR 39 mln.
