COVID-19: Former president moved to hospital in Warsaw

Former president Bronisław Komorowski, who had been a patient at a hospital in Sejny, north eastern Poland, after being infected with coronavirus, will continue his treatment in Warsaw.

The reason for the decision to change the hospital was to provide better care at a facility in the capital. The director of the former president's office assured that his health was stable.

On November 12, Bronisław Komorowski confirmed that his coronavirus test was positive. The former president does not know where the infection may have occurred.

Mr Komorowski is not the first former or current president to be diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2. Andrzej Duda, Donald Trump, Jair Bolsonaro and Volodymyr Zelenski, have also been diagnosed with coronavirus previously.
