The Health Ministry announced 18,467 new confirmed COVID-19 infections in Poland, increasing the total number of cases recorded in the country to 861,331 including 423,742 still active. The number of active cases increased from 423,112 yesterday.
The ministry also announced 330 new fatalities, of which 74 were due to COVID-19 alone and 256 from COVID-19 and concurrent diseases. The death toll in Poland went up to 13,618.
According to the ministry 356,130 people are quarantined and 22,156 are placed under epidemiological surveillance, whilst 423,971 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far. As it stands, there are still 423,742 active cases of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in Poland.
The number of occupied ventilators amounts to 2,126 out of 2,978 available .
As of Sunday morning, as many as 58,576,254 coronavirus cases, 1,387,902 deaths and 40,539,504 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.
The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 12,450,666, India has the second most with 9,095,908 cases and Brazil third with 6,052,786.
