Recently awarded FIFA Player of the year, he reaffirmed his status against the incumbent leaders of the German Bundesliga. Lewandowski scored twice which allowed Bayern to win and leapfrog Bayer in the table.
Among other Polish players in action for foreign clubs, Kamil Jóźwiak scored for Derby County. Polish midfielder netted in a victorious Championship match against Swansea (2:0) whilst his team mate Krystian Bielik was named the man of the match.
Mateusz Klich of Leeds United had an afternoon to forget against Manchester United. The “Red Devils” won 6:2 and the Polish player lasted just 46 minutes on the field.
