The Health Ministry announced 7,412 new confirmed COVID-19 infections in Poland, increasing the total number of cases recorded in the country to 1,429,612 including 223,312 still active. The number of active cases was 224,826 yesterday.
The ministry also announced 369 new fatalities, of which 69 were due to COVID-19 alone and 300 from COVID-19 and concurrent diseases. The death toll in Poland went up to 33,213.
According to the ministry, a total of 172,827 people are quarantined and 5,895 are placed under epidemiological surveillance, whilst 1,173,087 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far. As it stands, there are still 223,312 active cases of the coronavirus in Poland.
The number of occupied ventilators amounts to 1,608 out of 2,925 available.
As of Saturday morning, as many as 94,395,515 coronavirus cases, 2,019,868 deaths and 67,440,201 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.
The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 24,102,429. India has the second most with 10,543,659 cases and Brazil third with 8,394,253.
