Robert Lewandowski has just scooped another accolade for his superb performances last year, as he was picked for the UEFA Fans’ Team of the Year 2020.
This year, besides the men’s dream team, fans could also pick a women’s side. Some 6 million votes were cast worldwide for both men’s and women’s Team of the Year
Football supporters from all over the world could choose from among the top 50 players who played in the leagues associated with UEFA during the past year.
The men’s team was dominated by the Champions League winners, Bayern, represented by five players, including Lewandowski. The Pole has respectable company from outside the club: Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kevin de Bruyne also made it to the “starting 11”.
