COVID-19: 6,310 new cases in Poland

The Health Ministry announced 6,310 new confirmed COVID-19 infections in Poland, increasing the total number of cases recorded in the country to 1,648,962 including 217,010 still active. The number of active cases increased from 216,097 yesterday.

The ministry also announced 247 new fatalities, of which 47 were due to COVID-19 alone and 200 from COVID-19 and concurrent diseases. The death toll in Poland went up to 42,436.

According to the ministry, 161,407 people are quarantined and 1,389,516 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far. As it stands, there are still 217,010 active cases of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in Poland.

A total of 2,759,436 people have been vaccinated so far.

The number of occupied ventilators amounts to 1,347 out of 2,585 available.

As of Tuesday morning, as many as 112,309,431 coronavirus cases, 2,486,772 deaths and 87,846,183 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.

The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 28,826,307, India has the second most with 11,016,434 cases and Brazil third with 10,197,531.
