Young inventors create mechanical guide for disabled people

The dog-like robot was created by students of the Technical and General School Complex in Jarosław. It is designed to assist disabled, elderly and visually impaired people in moving.

The robot, which has two motors mounted on driving wheels, is already performing its basic functions. Young constructors constantly improve their invention under the supervision of teachers.

The students came up with the idea of creating an artificial dog in September, when their classes were still held in schools.

The robot is heavily packed with sensors, thanks to which the device can detect whether the person being guided is holding a special handle.

There are now plans to patent the invention, which is intended to replace a guide dog accompanying disabled people.
