“The vaccination process needs to be accelerated,” Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Thursday and called on the European Commission and the European Medicines Agency (EMA) to approve the Johnson & Johnson vaccine as soon as possible.
The head of government wrote on Twitter and Facebook that "the effects of vaccination are visible. There are 20 times fewer infections in vaccinated medics."
"Exactly one year has passed since the first case of COVID-19 was recorded in Poland, we need such news. The dedication and hard work of millions of people in Poland and around the world, from scientists, through doctors, to medicine suppliers and nurses administering doses of the vaccine, bring tangible results," he wrote on Facebook.
Vaccines are working! Infection rate among vaccinated medical personnel->20x lower! We must speed up the process to protect🇪🇺citizens. I urge @EU_Commission & #EMA to approve J&J vaccine as quickly as possible,as @US_FDA already did. There is no more time to lose.Every DAY counts! pic.twitter.com/ddFDqChgfI— Mateusz Morawiecki (@MorawieckiM) March 4, 2021
