Defence cooperation one of pillars of PL-US relations: diplomat

Defence cooperation is one of the pillars of Polish-US relations; more joint work on increasing the security of Poland and the region is ahead of us, Bix Aliu, the Charge d’Affaires, a.i. of the US embassy in Warsaw said.

“We are going to continue to develop joint work on increasing the security of Poland and the region. Together we are stronger!” he declared.

On Twitter Bix Aliu referred to an earlier entry by the Polish Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak.

“A busy week for Poland and the United States in military cooperation. Polish F-16s are escorting American B-1B bombers to Poland. This is another recent exercise by Polish and American air forces,” wrote Mr Błaszczak on Wednesday.

Mr Aliu has been serving as the head of the US diplomatic mission in Poland since January 20, 2021 since January 20, 2021, when then ambassador Georgette Mosbacher resigned from her post. Mr Aliu is to remain interim head of the American diplomatic mission until US President Joe Biden appoints a new one.
