New ordinance to open health service on Friday: gov’t spokesman

A regulation concerning the opening of the health service and telephone advice is being prepared, the Minister of Health Adam Niedzielski is expected to present its details on Friday, government spokesman Piotr Müller announced.

The spokesman was also asked about reopening the health service to people with other illnesses than COVID-19. Mr Müller replied that the regulation is being processed, which will clarify this issue.

“I think that Minister Adam Niedzielski will be able to present details in this regard tomorrow,” the spokesman said.

Mr Müller also pointed out that temporary hospitals for COVID-19 patients had been established, so many departments of district hospitals, which had previously been transformed into the so-called COVID-19 wards “have already started to function on a regular basis in helping all those who have other conditions that require treatment.”
