COVID-19: 14,910 new cases in Poland

The Health Ministry announced 14,910 new confirmed COVID-19 infections in Poland, increasing the total number of cases recorded in the country to 2,471,617 including 361,217 still active. The number of active cases decreased from 365,067 yesterday.

The ministry also announced 638 new fatalities, of which 158 were due to COVID-19 alone and 480 from COVID-19 and concurrent diseases. The death toll in Poland went up to 55,703.

According to the ministry, 414,373 people are quarantined and 2,054,697 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far. As it stands, there are still 361,217 active cases of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in Poland.

A total of 6,665,384 people have been vaccinated so far, including 4,591,351 who have received one dose and 2,074,033 who have been inoculated twice.

The number of occupied ventilators amounts to 3,342 out of 4,251 available.

As of Wednesday morning, as many as 133,092,759 coronavirus cases, 2,888,669 deaths and 107,342,522 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.

The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 31,560,438, Brazil has the second most with 13,106,058 cases and India third with 12,801,785.
