It is realistic to perform at least 10 million vaccinations per month. Vaccine deliveries will be much greater, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said during a visit in southern Poland on Monday. He added that vaccines are "the best remedy" for bringing even better results in the coming weeks.
The prime minister recalled that on Friday over 250,000 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. He also stated that "our pressure on the European Union is producing results".
"A few days ago, I talked to the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, about the third quarter, the fourth quarter, about the next year and about as large a supply of vaccines for the coming months as possible," the Prime Minister said. He noted that the supply of vaccines is most definitely to be increased.
Mr Morawiecki assessed that vaccines are "the best remedy", which in the coming weeks will bring even better results throughout Poland.
"We provide infrastructure and financing for every vaccinated citizen. I am convinced that thanks to our joint effort (...) we will be able to carry out this programme even faster than we previously stated," said the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister also added that "There is a third wave, but there is also a wave of vaccinations, and this is good news for effectively getting rid of the pandemic".
