Cult Polish TV series gain new life after getting remastered

On May 29-30, the gardens of the Royal Castle in Warsaw welcomed those who wanted to watch outdoor the cult Polish TV series after digital remastering.

This unique event was devoted to the digital reconstruction of some 3,000 Polish productions, including those that have become a permanent part of the canon of Polish cinema: "The Doll", "Nights and Days", "Chopin. Desire for love” and “Pan Tadeusz.” According to the Polish public TV TVP chairman Jacek Kurski, TVP has one of the most modern Digitizations and Reconstruction studios in Europe.

Outdoor screenings in the Royal Gardens also featured numerous attractions for the whole family, including a special digital reconstruction zone and live workshops on the conservation and reconstruction of film tapes on the example of reconstructed films and series.

The event was enriched by open discussions and special guests, including well-known cinematographers and directors who worked on the original, now re-mastered series.

The reconstructed productions will be available for viewing on TVP.
